Trinity was born in shame on the wrong side of the hallowed walls of a fantastic, timeless city. Soon after her birth, the oddly gifted child was stolen from her own people by the tyrannical Keepers in order to fulfill another woman’s forlorn destiny as part of the morbidly dysfunctional noble family. But Trinity had other plans. As she grew, her deepening mistrust of the unbending Traditions compelled her to embark on a hazardous voyage. She felt a driving need to expose the corrupt, self-serving powers that controlled her people’s pointless lives and set them free.
Another force however, had need of Trinity’s uncompromising spirit. Driven by an ancient ache, the heart of an ancestor reached out across the years to help Trinity unravel the morass of sinister lies she uncovered at her journey’s end. Now she had to choose how much of what she’d unearthed was to be shared and who should be trusted with the truth. Finally confronted by her own bitter and hard-won wisdom, Trinity had to decide if the freedom of an uncertain future was worth the awful pain this knowledge might bring to the people she loved.
